MONDAY NIGHT MUSIC WORKSHOPS
Once again, we are meeting on Monday nights at the Wilbur School Multipurpose room from 7 until 9 pm. We welcome all acoustic instruments, all ages and all levels of playing ability. If you are just beginning to play, come and we will help you to learn. If you are an expert, please come and help us to learn. "Won'tcha come out and play?"
TELFORD COFFEE STOP
A couple of weekends in May
Chuck and Lois Johnson will again head up this fun weekend of meeting the public, telling them who we are and what we're doing, and bribing kids with cookies and dogs with biscuits. We'll post more information as it becomes available.
YARD AND BAKE SALE
This will be held in conjunction with the Wilbur Chamber of Commerce Town-Wide Yard Sale. Time and Date to be announced.
GOOSE CREEK OPRY
BLUEGRASS PICKIN'S
and FIDDLE CONTEST
July 25, 26 & 27, 2008
Bluegrass bands will be featured on stage Friday and Saturday evenings. Most of Saturday will be devoted to our Texas-style fiddle contest which will feature a "Championship Playoff" this year. We'll have special Bluegrass music during the lunch break. We're planning morning workshops - Banjo and Bass so far - and our ever-popular kids funshops with storytellers in the afternoon. Sunday morning we will gather for our grass chapel followed by monring Gospel sets and a couple of afternoon bluegrass sets finishing up with a pot-luck lunch. We're looking forward to another great weekend. Won'tcha come out and play?
4th Annual Spaghetti Serenade
Saturday, April 26
Congratulations to this year's winner, Pete Wyborney, for his great sauce, "Elk Hunter's Reward". He worked hard, campaigned hard and finally came up with the winner. We suspect that you can see the traveling fiddle trophy at the Key Bank here in Wilbur.
No photos, video or audio recordings permitted.
Please note: Town ordinances prohibit pets in the park.
